Pear Deck & Nearpod

An Absolute Must for Any Classroom!

While working on my ISTE certification, I was introduced to these two programs. I love that these programs bring the content directly to the students in a presentation fashion or a student paced intake of information. I started with Pear deck and found turning my google slides interactive super easy. The types of add on’s are perfect for my reading lessons. I Found a piece of text and I had each student underline and highlight to find text evidence or key vocabulary.

When it comes to Nearpod, their selection of predesigned content is amazing. I have used it for science and social studies and the interactions are great. Sharing places and videos with the students keeps them engaged. The vocabulary features are also great for content skills.
